Information we handle

We process information needed to provide Epitom, such as account and workspace details, the website and brand information you add, product activity, and information submitted through our contact forms or free tools.

When you choose to connect a Google service, we request only the permissions needed for that connector. Depending on the service you connect, this can include:

• Search Console site details, search-performance reports, and URL inspection status;
• Google Analytics account and property details, plus traffic and engagement reports;
• the spreadsheet data you ask Epitom to read or update, and new spreadsheets it creates;
• the content of Google Docs you ask Epitom to read, update, or create; and
• Google Ads account and campaign data returned by a query you run in Epitom.

We also keep the OAuth tokens needed to maintain a connection. We do not request Google data until you choose to connect the relevant service.

How we use information

We use this information to provide Epitom’s visible features: showing search and analytics reporting, connecting a selected property to your workspace, generating insights and recommendations, and creating or updating the Google documents and sheets you ask Epitom to work with.

We may provide the minimum relevant Google data to the service providers that operate a user-facing Epitom analysis or automation when you choose that feature. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Storage, sharing, and security

OAuth connection credentials are encrypted at rest. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people and service providers needed to operate and secure Epitom, meet legal obligations, or investigate abuse.

We do not allow people to read Google user data unless it is necessary to provide a support request you authorize, protect the service, comply with law, or use aggregated and de-identified information for internal operations.

Epitom’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You can remove a Google connection from Epitom’s Integrations settings at any time. This deletes the stored connection credentials from Epitom. You can also revoke Epitom’s access from your Google Account’s third-party connections page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Epitom changes. If we make a material change to how we use Google user data, we will update this page and request consent before using that data in a new way.
